one tomato two.

the last heirloom tomato gifted from jAn.R.
resulted in a delicious breakfast this morning
with enough for an identical
meal tomorrow.
..happy dance..

what i used:

a slice of bread toasted..
creamy goat cheese spread over the top..
a couple slices of gorgeous mater..
a touch of sea salt, fresh cracked pepper,
and basil. i didn't have fresh so i used dried.
.. gotta do whatcha gotta do ..
so good.
so.
good.
so stinkin' good.

that is all.
carry on.

  2. Love, love, love heirloom tomatoes! We've been getting some from the farmers' market (our weekly CSA box) recently and they are so delish. Thanks for sharing this lovely combo. :)

  3. I haven't seen a tomato sandwich in so long, Sherry. My relatives used to make them, and they sure are good, especially with home grown tomatoes. Instead of goat cheese, we just used mayo. Your food pictures always makes me want a bite. ; )

    Wishing you beautiful August days.
