And so my aunt and I toodled up to Kenosha to visit Tenuta’s Deli, which was a favorite haunt of my father’s back in the day. He would visit from Florida, at least two ice chests in his van, and fill them, adding dry ice to the lot. I don’t recall ever visiting this place so it was fun to go and try and see all the products through my father‘s eyes. Dad passed back in 2019. So with a cart in hand, my aunt and I went up and down nearly every aisle. I chose interesting cheeses and some packaged items, a few bottles of pasta sauce including a Chianti style sauce, which I hope will be a rich experience. Back at my aunt and uncle’s, I brought in all my treasures, squirreling them away for a later date. I didn’t sleep well last night, so of course made myself a cup of liquid life which sits in front of me in a gifted cup from my aunt. The next few days rain and snow is expected. Snow, low temperatures, and a travel trailer don’t make for a comfortable experience. And there’s the consideration of winterizing then de-winterizing perhaps multiple times depending on situation. The hubs believes we’ll be fine. However, heading south is probably going to be a good idea for us which will mean that we won’t be able to go further north on this trip due to weather concerns. While not keen on the idea of changing plans, were needing to hold our plans loosely. Plenty of unknowns.

Until next time,
